Meal plan in under 30 minutes

Wonder what to have for dinner tonight? Here is a simple framework to help you meal plan in under 30 minutes.

  1. Brainstorm all the dinner ideas you can think of. Get all your ideas & google searches out of your head and onto some paper/excel/trello board - use whatever works for you

  2. Organise these ideas into categories (i.e. fish, lamb, chicken, vegetarian, etc). This helps with providing variety across the week

  3. Use a monthly calendar, plan out all the meals using your brainstorm. Include when you might be out, key activities, etc. Look at balancing out the meals to provide meal variety and nutrition across the week.

  4. Share the plan on the fridge so the whole family can see what is planned and they know what is for dinner rather than asking "what's for dinner?"

I discuss this in more detail in the episode of the Working Mumma podcast.
