Make time for yourself⠀

Many of the women in the #inspiringmumma profiles talk about ensuring you have some time for yourself. Sherelle Packer put it nicely “include self care at least once a week so you can fill your cup - you can’t pour from an empty cup”. This is so true. ⠀ ⠀ Mental health is a major societal issue. Mumma’s, you need to ensure you are able to sit down and relax otherwise you’re cup will be too empty and this isn’t good for you or your family. ⠀ ⠀ In becoming a mum, you naturally put your bubba and family ahead of yourself. There are no sick days in being a mum. Although, being able to recharge the batteries can help you mentally, physically and emotionally. ⠀

⠀ Everyone has a different view on what that looks like. For some it could be a massage, others exercise & going to the gym or for a long run, meditation, could be hanging out with your Mumma tribe, going to the movies, going shopping, getting a pedicure or taking yourself out for lunch. The list is endless! But, importantly you need to schedule in time for you. Also not once a year, but on a regular basis. ⠀ ⠀ Set yourself a goal for the next week to make some you time.
